Life & Work
Jesse Hurtado was born in Canada and by the age of 5 was already learning how to play the piano. After high school, he eventually left music to pursue interests in art. After finishing an HND in Illustration at Edinburgh's Telford College, he began to study music again at Edinburgh's Napier University from 2007. During his time at university he has engrossed himself in several public performances along with studio work. He has recorded public and private performances, is fluent in studio technology and is certified at pro tools 110 level training. Many different musicians have worked with him on his performances as well as studio recordings. His past credits include sound design and soundtrack composition on the award nominated short film "Noel" directed by Peter Greeves.
In 2012 he graduated with an MSc in Sound Design at Edinburgh University and completed the Dare to be Digital competition in Dundee. He worked with team iDeer from China as the sound designer / composer to produce a game for the iPhone called Colour Captain.
